At this time of year, before I look forward, I always like to look back and really take a look at what the last year meant for me. For Wallis Designs, 2017 was a mixture of many things ~ excitement, growth, learning, creativity, determination, pride and an overall feeling of accomplishment. I spent many hours behind the scenes on my website working on design and content as I placed my focus on the growth of my own website. For someone who would much rather just create beautiful jewelry it was sometimes a difficult process! Technically there is still a lot to do, and there always will be in this changing world, but that is what being a creative entrepreneur is all about now and I embrace this challenge!
Milestones for 2017
We started the year off at the GBK Gift Lounge prior to the 2017 Golden Globe Awards. A specially made Wallis Designs gemstone necklace was included in each of The Artisan Group gift bags handed out to attending celebrities.
Wallis Designs made an appearance on four TV shows in 2017! Emily Deschanel on Bones, Gina Rodriguez on Jane the Virgin, Chelsey Reist on Supernatural and Allison Janney on Mom.
We introduced a Fall Collection that was really loved and I am so proud of these designs. It included gorgeous blue chalcedony, chic labradorite, luminescent moonstone, silver swaying tassels and delicate chains to name a few. My mind is already swirling for our next collection.
Looking forward to 2018
As we head into this year I'm just so excited. I'll be celebrating the 10th anniversary of Wallis Designs!! (can it really be 10 years!!) and I have some great ideas to help celebrate! My head is swirling with inspiration for our new Spring Collection and I have some really interesting opportunities to pursue. Stay tuned and share the excitement with me in 2018!
